Robert Gurney, the enterprising CEO and co-founder of Evoke Networking, has dedicated over a decade of his life to transforming the office technology industry. His journey began with a move – leaving his roots in Buffalo, New York to be closer to family in Chicago, where he was recruited as a sales executive at a document management company. Through his relentless work ethic and exceptional leadership skills, Robert quickly ascended to become a Branch Sales Manager on Chicago’s coveted 400 North block of the Magnificent Mile. His team consistently surpassed quotas and delivered stellar results.
In the face of unprecedented challenges presented by the COVID pandemic, economic downturn, and lockdown, the tenacious then twenty-nine-year-old entrepreneur refused to be deterred. Driven by a deep desire to deliver a better choice to customers, he embarked on a mission to establish his own MPS company, Evoke Networking. With nothing but determination and a vision for the future, he began his journey from humble beginnings – his own garage. Through relentless hard work and innovative thinking, he quickly carved out a niche for himself, delivering unparalleled solutions and services to clients seeking to stay ahead of the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
